モロッコで出会った希少な一点もののシルバーヴィンテージリング。
サハラの遊牧民トゥアレグ族によって手作業で制作されたものです。

中央には太陽を象徴する放射状の文様が深く刻まれ、両側には粒状の装飾（グラニュレーション）が添えられています。
放射線が描く光の広がりは、砂漠を照らす太陽や旅の守護を意味する伝統意匠。
立体的な造形と手彫りの陰影が、手仕事ならではの力強さと静かな美しさを感じさせます。

左右に配置された粒状の突起は、装飾的な意味に加え、護符的な守りの粒として解釈されます。
古来トゥアレグ族では、奇数の粒配置は「悪意を避ける」象徴とされ、視線避けの文脈でも用いられます。

このデザインは1970〜80年代にかけて制作された古い様式で、現在ではほとんど再現されない造形のようです。
現代のトゥアレグジュエリーが軽量で平面的なデザインへ移行する中、こちらのリングは希少な一点。

Product Description:

A rare, one-of-a-kind vintage silver ring discovered in Morocco.
Handcrafted by the Tuareg, the nomadic people of the Sahara Desert.

At its center, deeply engraved radiating lines symbolize the sun — a powerful emblem of light and protection for travelers across the desert. On each side, fine granulated silver beads (granulation) add both texture and meaning. The radiating motif expresses the expanding light of the desert sun, while the hand-carved relief gives the piece a sculptural presence and quiet strength unique to Tuareg craftsmanship.

The small raised beads flanking the center are not only decorative but also serve a talismanic purpose. In Tuareg tradition, odd-numbered bead arrangements are believed to ward off ill will and offer protection against the “evil eye.”

This particular design reflects a style created in the 1970s–1980s and is rarely reproduced today. As contemporary Tuareg jewelry has shifted toward lighter, flatter designs, this ring stands as a rare example of the older, more architectural form.

Blending the cultural depth of the desert with the artistry of traditional silversmithing, this piece holds strong visual and symbolic presence — equally captivating as wearable art or as a modern interior accent.
