この地で何世紀にもわたり受け継がれてきた陶芸の伝統技法から生まれた本作は、モロッコ雑貨としてだけでなく、モダンアフリカの芸術性を体現する逸品です。

本作の最大の特徴は、伝統的な技法で焼かれた陶器でありながら、まるで彫刻のような有機的フォルムにあります。
中央に空洞を持ち、二股に分かれる曲線美は、植物のつるや風に削られた岩肌、あるいは動物の骨格を思わせるような造形で、自然の中から生まれたような静けさと生命感を宿しています。

この曲線と陰影は、光の差し方によって表情を変え、特に朝や夕の自然光のなかでは、柔らかな影が生まれ、空間に奥行きと詩的なニュアンスを与えます。何も飾らずそのまま置くだけでも、モダンインテリアの中にアートとしての存在感を放つフラワーベースです。

使い方としては、オリーブの枝やユーカリ、モンステラなどのグリーンを一枝添えるだけで、フォルムの美しさがより際立ちます。また、チューリップやラナンキュラスなど、茎に表情のある花との相性も抜群です。

この美しい深緑の釉薬は、通称「タムグルートグリーン」あるいは「ベルベルグリーン」とも呼ばれています。

銅や酸化マンガン、鉄分を含む天然鉱物に、大麦の殻を加えた秘伝の釉薬が、タムグルート特有の薪窯で焼成されることにより、深みのある緑色、微細なクラックル（貫入）、そして一つとして同じもののない色むらが生まれます。

この色には、モロッコの先住民族であるベルベル人（アマジグ）の文化や精神性が宿っており、緑はイスラム世界で「生命・再生・祝福」の象徴とされています。
そのためこの陶器は、単なる器としてではなく、「祈り」や「再生」といった目に見えない価値をも内包した特別な存在として愛されてきました。

This sculptural ceramic vase is handcrafted in Tamegroute, a historic village located at the edge of the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. Renowned for its centuries-old pottery tradition, Tamegroute is home to one of the few places in the world where this unique green glaze—known as "Tamegroute Green" or "Berber Green"—is still produced.

The organic, asymmetrical form of this piece blends primitive elegance with contemporary design. Its double-necked structure and flowing curves evoke natural forms such as climbing vines, eroded rock, or even animal bones—bringing both stillness and a sense of life into the space.

More than just a Moroccan interior accent, this vase embodies the artistic spirit of Modern African design.
