使われるのは、村の周辺でしか採れない特別な粘土。この粘土は鉄分を多く含み、焼成することで、深みのある独特の色合いを生み出します。

黄色と緑が溶け合うような色の表情は、天然鉱物から作られた秘密の釉薬と、ナツメヤシの木を燃料とする伝統的な土窯による焼成によって誕生します。
焼成中、釉薬が溶け出し、銅やマンガンなどの成分が複雑に反応し合うことで、偶然が生み出すドラマチックな窯変（ようへん）が現れます。

この“偶然性”こそが、タムグルート陶器をアートの域にまで引き上げている最大の特徴です。
窯の中の温度や炎の当たり方、釉薬の流れ方によって、一つひとつ異なる模様と色合いが生まれ、同じものは二つと存在しません。
