traditional silver craftsmanship of the Tuareg people of the Sahara Desert in North Africa.

The Tuareg, a branch of the Berber ethnic group, have a long history of traveling the
desert as nomads.
Their ornaments often carry amuletic meanings, symbolizing prayers
for safe journeys and strong family bonds.

At the center of this ring lies a circular motif representing the cycle of life and
the universe.
Radiating lines extend toward the four cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west—signifying the wish to be protected no matter which way one travels.

Four surrounding triangles symbolize the stability of the earth and unity of the clan,
while the striped patterns between them represent water and the seeds of life.

On the sides, a sequence of V-shapes and straight lines is engraved—an abstract
depiction of desert tents and mountain ranges, symbolizing
“a place to return to” and “a sanctuary.”
